Community Involvement

Pat believes in giving back to his community and participating in causes that are important to him. He is associated with the following civic groups:


·         Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ.

·         Wisconsin Upside Down Foundation works to create communities, opportunities, and acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome in Wisconsin.

·         Adoption Resources of WI is an organization that has helped facilitate the placement of more than 1,500 children from foster care into adoptive homes. In addition, ARW provides additional programs that continue to help families grow together after the initial adoption.

·         West Suburban YMCA (Board of Directors) has been building strong kids, strong families and strong communities through many programs and services. The YMCA helps people grow strong in spirit, mind and body and builds relationships within families, between neighbors and around the world.

·         Milwaukee Rescue Mission provides care and support for Milwaukee’s poor and homeless through various programs.

·         Christian Stewardship Foundation offers expert counsel and innovative, flexible giving solutions to help individuals and families, as well as churches and ministries, with charitable funding options.

·        Concordia Alumni Advisory Council a volunteer-driven organization that works in partnership with the Alumni Relations Office to strengthen the relationship between alumni and the university. The Alumni Association is committed to building and fostering the relationship between Concordia and its graduates.  Through alumni events and reunions, volunteerism, communications, and a variety of services and benefits, the Alumni Association encourages lifelong involvement of alumni in university life.

·         Best Buddies is dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
